You have an affinity with commodities and finance, are self-motivated and eager to develop your commercial skills and work in a close nit team. The ideal candidate should be confident, but open to direct feedback and preferably have a comprehensive understanding of Environmental Commodities (carbon, (bio)fuels, (renewable) power or gas markets). You excel in understanding your clients’ needs and transforming these into actions. We are looking for someone to develop themselves and grow with the company to become a key team player.

Responsibilities

 

  • Perform accounting activities including the preparation, maintenance and reconciliation of general ledger accounts and financial statements such as balance sheets and profit-and-loss statements
  • Compile, enter and post monthly journal entries including but not limited to AP, GL and payroll entries
  • Process bank and payment transactions
  • Preparing financial reports including financial analysis
  • Support external audits (including tax authority)
  • Inventory management and financial instruments management, including ensuring the accuracy of cost and balance of the stock
  • Identify possibilities for improvement within the financial administrative organization
  • Support the operation of the office and all kind of ad hoc activities

 

The Requirements

 

  • Bachelor degree in the areas of Finance & Accounting or equivalent certification
  • At least 2-3 years of accounting relevant work experience
  • Self-motivated, ‘can do’ attitude and proactive to identify and resolve problems, organized and willing to learn on the job
  • Eager to assume responsibilities and learn new tasks
  • Ability to multi-tasking on different projects
  • Excellent Excel skills are required
  • Knowledge of Exact software is plus
