The Candidate

We have a great job opening for an enthusiastic, supportive and committed young administrative talent who has the ambition to work in a bustling commercial trading environment. You have an interest in commodities and you would love to be responsible for a perfect operational process. You have a sharp eye for detail, but you are also able to keep oversight. The ideal candidate should be confident, but open to direct feedback and preferably already have a basic understanding of environmental commodities (carbon, (bio)fuels, (renewable) power or gas markets).

Caely actively trades and closes environmental commodities transactions with top-class companies (utilities, project developers, corporates, power generators and industrials). With global ambitions, Caely is set to grow rapidly the coming years in Europe and the Unites states, followed by Asia. We have a highly international team of sales traders, who serve clients in their native language. Communication in the office is always in the English language.

 

The Role

The Mid-office employee is responsible for day-to-day trade business support and basic financial accounting. Client onboarding, drawing up (standard) contracts, invoicing (both incoming and outgoing invoices) and debtor management are part of your task package.

 

Main tasks:

  • Drawing up standard contracts
  • Invoicing
  • Basic financial accounting
  • Debtor management
  • Counterparty onboarding (incl. KYC/AML/CTF) and onboarding with our counterpartie
  • Ad hoc requests

 

The Requirements

 

In order to be considered for the role you will meet the following:

 

  • 1-3 years’ working experience, preferably in a trading environment
  • Bachelor’s or master’s degree in business, finance, economics or equivalent
  • Confident and motivated self-starter with a serving attitude
  • Accurate, precise with excellent communication skills
  • Fluent in English
  • Advanced excel skills is considered a plus
  • Living and working in/around Amsterdam, The Netherlands
