Climate change is a global threat. The increasing concentrations of greenhouse gases (GHGs—carbon dioxide, methane, and nitrous oxide) in the atmosphere are blamed for the changing global climate. The greenhouse gases play a key role in causing climate change.
Caely Renewables enables companies to take action on climate change by reducing their carbon footprint through environmental commodities certificates and voluntary emission offsets.
Voluntary Carbon Emissions
A VER is a certificate that proves the reduction of one MT of carbon. Companies use these certificates to offset or neutralise their carbon emission. Carbon emission is the release of carbon into the atmosphere and accounts are the main contributor to climate change. VER actions allow companies to take advantage of voluntary efforts to reduce greenhouse gas emissions by following specific regulations and standards. These efforts are then rewarded with these recognisable and tradeable greenhouse gas offsets.
EU Emissions Trading System (EU ETS)
The EU ETS is a cornerstone of the EU's policy to combat climate change and its key tool for reducing greenhouse gas emissions cost-effectively. It is the world's first major carbon market and remains the biggest one.
